Most personal websites are either resumes in disguise or abandoned blogs. I wanted something closer to a workbench — a place I’d actually open, not just link to.
The rules I’m giving myself:
- Load fast. One HTML file, one CSS block, one font. No frameworks, no trackers, no cookie banners to dismiss.
- Write for myself first. If a post is useful to someone else, good. If not, it still did its job by forcing me to finish a thought.
- Finish things badly if that’s the only way to finish them. A rough note beats an unpublished draft every time.
That’s it. The rest is just markdown and patience.
